Seas the Moment at Terranea, Southern California’s Premier Oceanfront Luxury Resort
Pronounced “terra-nay-a,” this 102-acre luxury estate overlooks the scenic Pacific coastline, as well as Catalina Island. Terranea is a 582-room resort made up of sun-filled guest rooms, spacious bungalows and suites, luxury villas and oceanview casitas. Easily accessible, the resort is conveniently located 30 minutes from LAX and 30 miles southwest of downtown Los Angeles.
Fun fact: Since Terranea is part of a dramatic landscape and oceanfront setting, many movies have been shot on the property, including Pirates of the Caribbean, The Aviator, Charlie’s Angels, This Is 40, to name a few.
What stood out to me on my visit was that this resort offers so many experiences that not only are they impossible to count, but it’s also impossible not to find something for your individual, niche taste. From falconry meet and greet, seaside yoga, guided hikes, singing bowl rituals, to test driving Lexus cars along the coast and sunset wine tasting.
